Online Pledging User’s Guide

LET’S BEGIN!

1. Visit www.kansasbigs.org
2. Click on the 2010 Bowl for Kids’ Sake logo on the top left hand side of the page.
3. If you do not already have a username and password from 2009, you will need to register a new account.

*Note: When registering, you must select the agency/county where you are bowling.

Once you are registered/ logged in, your personal BFKS page appears where you edit your info, request pledges, and team captains may add or delete team members.

START a Team! (Team Captains Only)

1. To create a team, click “Start a Team” under the My Team Info box in the middle of your page.  
2. You will need to enter team name, required team member information and may leave the team open for others to join or closed for team members that only you may enter.  
3. As the team captain you can leave the team “open” have your members enter their data or keep it closed and enter the data yourself.
4. As the team captain you can edit the team goal and add or delete team members from your team home page.
5. To return to your personal page, click home located in the left hand column.

JOIN a Team! (Non-team captains)

1. To join a team, click “Join” under the My Team Info box in the middle of your page.  
2. Select the County that you are bowling with and then enter the team captain’s first name and click search. 
3. Once you find your team captain, click on the team name to be taken to the team’s page.
4. Click on join this team to be added as a team member.

*Note:  If you are unable to join the team, the captain likely created it as “closed” or has not yet created your team.  The captain will need to add the email address that you registered with into his/her approved team member list. If your team is not registering on-line you may still register and collect pledges as an individual.

EMAILING Friends and Family for PLEDGES!

1. To send emails to friends, family, co-workers or anyone else you know, click the “Email Friends and Family” link in the gold column on the left hand side of the screen.
2. Email addresses can be added one at a time and sent through the website’s email system.  
3. You may also copy the information, including your page’s link from the “Email Friends and Family” page, and paste it into your personal email to send to your address book. 
4. Your potential sponsors will receive an email including a link to your personal page where they may make a pledge on our secure web-site.  They may pay right away by credit or debit card, or choose to have a bill sent to them after your bowling event.  Either way, the pledges are immediately credited to your pledge total.

Click on “View pledges” at any time to view a list of your sponsors. 
NEW for 2010! You can also view your pledges from 2009.
