Become a Mentor

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Big. We have hundreds of youth across the state of Kansas waiting for a mentor just like you. Please consider attending a noncommittal info session to learn more about how our program works and why we ask for a one-year commitment (see "Steps to Become a Big" below).

In the infosession, you will learn about our various match options: Community-Based, Site-Based, Plus Match, and Crime Prevention. Please contact us at if you have any questions or if you would like to request an on-site presentation at your workplace.

Our mentors are just everyday people who live out a known reality:  relationships matter.  A few hours a month can make a world of difference for a youth who comes to understand that your investment of time in them means that there is someone outside of their home who believes they are worthwhile and possess potential. You can be a critical part of their journey by filling out an online inquiry form.
