Meritrust Credit Union expands commitment to underrepresented youth through partnership with University of Kansas’ Gradey Dick
Wichita, KS – Meritrust Credit Union is proud to announce it is the title sponsor for Gradey Dick’s philanthropic initiative, Gradey’s Gang, benefiting the youth of Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters. Gradey’s Gang presented by Meritrust is a way for Dick to “pay it forward” and encourage sports as a positive outlet for young kids.
“As a kid, the gym was where I could be myself and do what I love the most; play basketball,” said Gradey Dick, Guard for the KU Men’s Basketball Team. “Now, I want to give back to an organization that offers a significant impact for our area’s youth. It’s a no-brainer to work with Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters.”
As part of Gradey’s Gang, local youth will be invited to games and events, creating special moments to cherish forever. “For our youth, the world is often limited to the square mile where they live, go to school and play,” said Jeffry Jack, Area Director of Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters.“ Being a part of this experience helps fuel their need for human connection, to feel valued and to expand their minds and dreams to the possibilities ahead.”
Gradey’s partnership with Meritrust also opens up opportunities for youths in Kansas to receive mentorship and support on an on-going basis. Gradey’s Gang is a natural extension to Meritrust’s mission of improving the lives of its members and the communities they serve.
